A hundred years of devastating warfare, starving civilians, and mass murders have all led to this moment: the notorious war criminal General Victor Maylor has been captured and detained in a secret prison camp. Taylor expects to face death at the hands of the National Army, but chief interrogator Michael Shaw does not want him dead - not yet.
